The group of XVI th century panels called the «Saint Auta Altarpiece» was the object of a historical and iconographic study carried out by the Cen-tro de Estudos de Arte e Museologia, and by the Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga, which is the owner of this work. So as to carry out the working plan a research group was created, coordinated and guided by the Director of the Museu and by the Director of the Centre, who is also the Director of the Institute Jose de Figueiredo.
